![]() ![]() Not worth the hassle, not by a long shot! You don’t want to end up with the Feds all up in your business, simply because you forgot to equip yourself with a proper magazine. Remember to check your local and federal rulebooks, people. Preparedness is key, and I get it: you’d rather have more than less. Nevertheless, there are those people will always want a higher capacity magazine, no matter what. Now, if you plan on using this shotgun strictly for home defense, you may find that you do not need more than 5 rounds. After that you have the drum options, which we will get into next. The standard factory mags are of the 5- or 8-round variety, and aftermarket magazines can go as high as 12. If you want an accessory that was designed and built for a VEPR 12 shotgun, you should probably get a move on.Īccessories which fit the model can still be found online, but I wouldn’t know about local gun shops because of the ban. Keep in mind that because of the ban which is in place, there is a chance that accessories geared towards the VEPR will become more scarce over time, not unlike the weapon itself. MSRP: $1,699 ( The other variants carry a MSRP of $1,199). ![]() Capacity: 5 or 8 (Standard) and higher (extended).Model: VEPR 12 Short-Barreled Shotgun (SBS).There are several variants of the VEPR 12, and here are the specs for its short-barreled model: I want to stress the word “may”, because there are probably better options for each of those categories. As such, it is a shotgun which may be useful in hunting, 3-gun, and home/self-defense. The VEPR 12 is essentially modeled after the RPK. Until the ban went into effect, Molot weapons were being imported by the US-based Firearms Importer Manufacturer Exporter (FIME group), operating out of Las Vegas. In 2017, Molot was added to the list of banned Russian and Ukranian imports, due to ongoing sanctions imposed by the U.S. I suppose one of those rail mount storage compartments would work, but in pictures they look tacky. There is no telling where exactly this will go, but even if Molot was back on its feet today, you would not be able to purchase a brand new VEPR 12 if you are in the U.S. I have not seen any grip capable of holding three spare cr123's yet. #VEPR 12 CHAOS QUAD RAIL HANDGUARD PLUS#I suppose i could replace the grip but I need space for atleast three batteries with my Elzetta light that's going on it plus the spare for the Eotech. My only hang up on going with an Eotech is there is nowhere to store spare batteries on my VEPR like I have on my AR. Also wanted to try out either a mepro m21 or trijicon reflex type since they are completely dummy proof and rock solid. Personally I am a huge Eotech fan and ran them on my AR (sold my old one and need to get a new one). The clearance issue seemed like a very small adjustment could resolve it so I am curious if the height difference with the Chaos replacement will be the cure. There was a video not too long ago in super slow motion that showed the shell strike the side of an EOTECH and go back into the ejection port, causing a failure. As I understand it the width of the optics on the dust cover rail were causing the shell to not eject fully. ![]()
